Rolls Royce Jet Engine Test Facility
Mississippi Steel Buildings
In the aerospace industry, Rolls-Royce is an essential organization. At a 92’x93’x53’ building delivered by Allied Steel Buildings and located in Mississippi at the Stennis Space Center, Rolls-Royce in combination with MDS Aero Support, exhaustively inspect the Trent 900 engines used by the Airbus A380 fleets around the world. The process includes the design, development, and supply of the piping and support structures for the Combustion Sector Rig systems.
Our Stennis test site represents the type of state-of-the-art investments that Rolls-Royce is making around the world to validate the next generation of technology in our engines. With the number of new engines coming to market, our Stennis facility has been working around the clock to help us keep up with this demand.” said Gareth Hedicker, Head of Development and Experimental Engineering, Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace.
For a decade, Rolls-Royce has tested its most advanced jet engines at one of our state’s greatest assets, Stennis Space Center. The technologically advanced capabilities offered by a Stennis location help ensure Rolls-Royce enjoys many more successful years in Hancock County,” Governor Phil Bryant said.
